Insurance terms

GoMore's private car rental insurance includes the following coverage during rentals: Collision, theft, fraud, fire, vandalism, redemption, refueling, glass, animal collision, roadside assistance and travel expense coverage.

Insurance is provided automatically when a rental is booked through GoMore. Payment for the insurance is included in the GoMore insurance and service charge. Read our insurance terms here. The car owner and renter are required to comply with the conditions below to be covered by the insurance.

Coverage

  • The Insurance provides casco coverage for the car during rentals, including collision, theft, fraud, fire, vandalism, redemption, refueling, glass, animal collision, roadside assistance and travel expense coverage.
  • Loss is defined as the renter not returning the car later than 30 days after the agreed delivery date.
  • The insurance covers driving within EU/EES, Switzerland.

Requirements for the car

  • Must be privately owned and registered for transport of passengers in Sweden.
  • Not to be used for commercial purposes such as freight transport.
  • Must be able to be driven with a regular driver's license (maximum weight 3 500 kg).
  • Must have a valid half insurance in advance with a publicly registered (DMR) insurance company.
  • Cars that are leased as a part of GoMore's collaboration with LeasePlan or Enterprise are covered by the insurance during rentals.
  • Must have a maximum market value of SEK 1 000 000.
  • Must not exceed 15 years from the vehicle year and maximum running 300 000 km.
  • The car's registration certificate, part two, may not be in the car during the rental.
  • If the car is worth more than SEK 800 000 and less than 5 years old, it must have an activated GPS under each rental.

Requirements for the renter

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • For cars defined as premium by GoMore, the renter must be 25 years of age.
  • Must have held a driver's license for 1 year.
  • Must have a driver’s license permitted for driving in EU.
  • If the renter has a foreign driver’s license, the renter must be able to document a valid passport.
  • Please note, it is possible to add one extra driver for an additional fee. The same requirements are applicable for the extra driver as the primary renter of the car.

Excess

  • The renter has a SEK 10 000 excess per damage. However, it is possible to purchase excess reduction when booking the car. The excess will then be either SEK 3 500 or SEK 1 000, depending on which excess reduction was purchased.
  • Repair of stone chips in the windscreen is free. However, when replacing the windshield, the excess is at applied level. In the event of glass damage, we recommend that you take the car directly to the nearest Carglass that our insurance company has an agreement with.

Other conditions

  • The rental may not exceed 90 days.
  • Be aware that insurance does not cover mechanical damage, including improper re-fueling and damage caused by driving with insufficient water or oil.
  • Replacement car in the event of damage is not included in the insurance.
  • Read our full insurance conditions carefully before renting.

In addition to what is stated in Omocom's full terms and conditions this is also included in the insurance (applies from December 2025)

  • 5.3.1. Vehicle transport: If the car is not drivable, transportation of the car home is covered even if the car is closer than 250 km. However, transportation may involve long waiting times before you receive your vehicle, and the transport must also be approved by Omocom in advance.
